Daegu University press went on a scholarship exploration from July 11~13th. We went to Gyeongsangnam-do and Jeollanam-do to learn what General Shun Shin Yi does there.

I think many Korean people know about him, but do you know his detailed information (such as family clan, the dynasty when he lived) or wars he was involved in?

󰂈 Dongnaeeupseong History Hall

This history hall is located in Bokcheon-dong, Dongnae-gu, Busan, Korea.
Due to this place having many displays, we can see beautiful landscapes and Dongnae's history - but be warned; Korean museums are closed on Mondays.

󰂈 Okpo Victory Memorial Hall

󰂈 Jinju Fortress

In 1592 the Japanese invaded this place with an army of 25 thousand soldiers, but they were defeated by General Si Min Kim. This is one of his three big victories. Besides this, there is another memorial place in Jinju Fortress to Nongae. She died with Japanese General for the Joseon Dynasty. If you visit here why don't you drop by this place.

󰂈 General Shun Shin Yi Square

Here we can see the highest status of General Shun Shin Yi, and we can also can see Uldolmok vividly. In Uldolmok the water in the sea spins around at a speed of 24km/h, the fastest water speed in Asia. Using this special geographical properly was the cause of one of his victories.

󰂈 General Dae Young Na birthplace

We normally know the turtle ship was made by General Shun Shin Yi, but the initial ‘A’ turtle ship was made by General Dae Young Na. These days, people don't live in General Dae Young Na’s birthplace anymore, but we can still feel remnants of General Dae Young Na's childhood here.

Frankly speaking, I realized people only know rough information regarding General Shun shin Yi. He is so famous that people don’t know detailed information about him.
