Hi. I'm Yu-Gyeong Cheon, a new reporter of the English-language newspaper, L

.L.F. I attend the college of education where I am an English Education sophomore. Last year, I saw the English-language newspaper for the first time. I saw the English-language newspaper thanks to Yu-Jin Kim. She is not only the acting editor-in-chief of the L.L.F, but also my fellow major classmate. I realized that the English-language newspaper is an important place which provides the student body with school information, information about Korea, and common sense tips that'll help students through English. Also, I think that exchange students studying in our college can know more about Korea, and Daegu University through the L.L.F articles. Therefore, I enrolled to be a reporter this year. My major is English Education so I feel some burden about writing English articles. But, I have a responsibility because this is first time I am trying to write articles. However, last semester I looked at old alumnus work about the newspaper, and I wrote some articles and I learned many things reporting on the 60th anniversary parade. This semester I can be a new reporter, so I can write mature articles. This article section is my greeting, so I am going to tell my private story a little. My hometown is Masan. Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do people don’t know much about Masan. Masan is near Busan and Gimhae. Masan was unified as Chang-won. A few years ago, Masan was 'Si', but now it is 'Gu', so Masan people feel some disappointment about that. Since I was 13 years old, my dream was to be an English teacher. I liked English very much and I liked teaching someone. I think that I am half way toward accomplishing my dream by entering College of Education. As a teenager, I thought and criticized somethings very much against my friends, and I enjoyed writing novels and composing songs. Therefore, being a reporter for the L.L.F suits me. I will look at our college's actual condition critically. I will think about efficient methods for improving conditions in Korea. Me, and my companions are going to write about the next festival and other spectacles. I ask you to take an interest in our articles. Have a great semester!
