Daegu University students went to the Africa and Vietnam for challenge and Volunteering during winter vacation. Our university has programs involving challenges and volunteering. I joined in a volunteer organization (one of these programs) for volunteering. Vietamin, the volunteer organization, is made up of 24 students (12 male, 10 female).

 From January 1th to January 14th, they left for education volunteer. All the students involved were from various majors, so they created various classes that would teach art, P.E, science, and Korean. These Daegu university students taught the classes to Vietnamese students at Hong Poung Middle School, so our volunteering was successful considering our aim and plan.

 Kim Hyo Jeoung, a student Girl Lieutenant said, "At first I needed a little release, so I applied to this volunteer organization. During the volunteer calendar I was happy, although we had some disagreements and trivial work etc… But the students who Vietamin taught responded well to our lessons. For the first time in my life I thought, “I worked really hard.” I don’t recommend this activity for looking good on a resume, I just recommend to apply for what you really want to volunteer and gain experience in."

 I agreed with what she said. During volunteering, people can feel more loving and caring about each other. If you enter this volunteer group, you are going to be together a long time for the duration of its plans. Not everything is pleasurable during this time, but you will get a new experience and create new friends (co-workers).

 During the same time, there was another group winter challenge activity. They challenged their limit. This program runs each summer and winter vacation every semester. The programs will be announced on our home page, so that many DU students can apply and take part in this activity.
