Do you know Duterte?

 Duterte, the President of the Philippines, ordered the arrest of drug dealers and users. Following Duterte’s orders targeting drugs, many people have been killed by the police. Fearing for their lives, many drug dealers and users spoke to the police about what they do personally.

 At first, many Philippine citizens and tourists had a great love for this situation because they thought they would have a safer space than before.

 Nowadays however, there are different opinions being brought up on the matter. Some people said the summary executions are too excessive.

 On that basis, these summary executions are not always correct. A woman named Morillro who was suspected of being involved in drugs was nearly killed by police, but she has denied this accusation. It is very unfair.

 There may have been some mistakes between the police and the citizens who do not really take drugs. Judging whether people use drugs or not is purely in police hands.

 In this sense, some cases have the police bending the rules. Recently, a 50 year old Korean businessman was wrongly murdered in cold blood by the Philippines police. The police asked for money from Korean's family as a ransom but finally the Korean man was tragically killed by the police.

 In short, at first Duterte’s order was greeted with an outburst of wholehearted enthusiasm from citizens and tourists. Many people now think that the order has great intentions, yet it has several flaws including the bad use of police and mistakes regarding summary convictions. People have been thinking that there needs to be more changes of these rules.

 There are therefore arguments divided into pro and cons. And Duterte's order was presumed to have been judged by the citizens. Can he continue his hard policies in the years to come? We are concerned about this matter.
