Be confident! Fatness is not a crimeHealth

According to a recent survey by a women’s organization, 60% of ready-made clothes brands sell only S size or smaller. It means a woman who wears M size should give up buying the clothes every third time in five purchases. How sad it is!

Then, what about ‘Free size’? It’s much more serious than you might think. Free size is fit for slim women who are 163cm tall and weigh only 53kg. That is to say, ‘Free size’ is not for the majority of the women. This is beyond common sense.

As you can see from that, our society has a bias that slim women are normal. Also, a slim body is thought of as the standard of beauty. Women are forced to fit these criteria unconsciously. That is why women diet all the time and sometimes have an obsession with it.

As a result of the strong backlash against this society, plus-size fashion brands and models have appeared.

One of the hottest plus-size models of Korea, Gee Yang Kim, said in an interview, ‘Fatness is not a crime. It can be considered beautiful’. Recently, she works as an editor for the magazine, ‘66100’, which publishes articles related to plus-size fashion and culture. She began a new magazine to make a platform where plus-size women can share their story and various information.

Everyone has the right clothing size, but there is no correct size in beauty. Let’s break the prejudice of our society that pressures women to be thin.
