"I think... Alime is youth because it can be done only now!"- Dan-Bi Kim

 

There are the youth who work hard for Daegu University. They are 'Alime'. We interviewed Dan-Bi Kim who is the 20th alime and is studying in the Department of Language Treatment.

Q1. Please introduce yourself.

Hello, I'm Dan-Bi Kim. I'm the 20th alime and studying language treatment.

 

Q2. What does an 'Alime' do?

An 'Alime' takes photos or videos about the college, interviews outside organizations and takes photos there, attends protocol events at college and visits high schools in order to publicize Daegu University and talk about its benefit and facilities.

 

Q3. What is the motive for choosing to be and 'Alime'?

Because of two reasons. First, you can only be an 'Alime' as a college student, and the other reason is it's part of my dream. I wished to come to the Department of Language Therapy at Daegu University, so when I was a high school senior I only applied to this department. I got to know that an 'Alime' can promote Daugu University, so I applied for it.

 

Q4. Have you experienced impressive episodes?

Yes, that is feeling the thanks from other students. When I felt that everything was boring, my self-esteem decreased and I got tired, the high school student who I counseled said, "you always look happy" to me. Therefore, I was encouraged.

 

Q5. What are Alime's strengths and weaknesses?

Sometimes, it can be hard, because I often work while wearing high-heels among a lot of people from morning to the afternoon,

But that kind of experience can only exist in our 20's and we can do a lot of activities.

 

Q6. What did you do in your interview for your Alime?

At the end of the interview, they asked "Is there anything you want to show to us?", so I did cheerleading with a song from my mobile phone. I did it because I should remind the interviewers about my existence.

 

Q7. Tell me about interview tips for DU students.

I think the most of important thing is not having a perfect appearance but having confidence. For example, a powerful walking, voice and eye contact. Facial expression is especially important.

 

Q8. What would you like to say to DU students?

When I met high school students and my friends, some of them easily gave up what they wanted to do because of trivial reasons. You only live once! If you want to do something, don't hesitate! Just do it!

I hope that many of DU students will participate in Alime. Please give a lot of attention and cheer for the Alime, as they do many activities to promote Daegu University.
