Have you ever heard about the Creative Convergence major? Since last year, the school has been offering this major to move beyond the boundaries of traditional majors to actively reflect social changes and meet the needs of education consumers. Also, this program was started to promote convergence education based on the convergence education system and to enhance the effectiveness of majors through improvement of the university’s structure.

The Creative Convergence major is a convergence education course that offers a creative and specialized curriculum, regardless of one’s department. There are 16 majors in running, Clasica liberal arts, Humanities with SW, African city development, Digital media contents, Business Korean interpretation, Storytelling creation, Odyssey future talent, Political economy and philosophy, Global frontier, Semiconductor Industry Engineering, Visual arts management, Ecotourism and Cure, Sports industry in start-up, Start-up, Bioengineering, Health care marketing.

To learn more about the Creative Convergence major, I went to the 3rd student presentation about this major on April 11, 2018. In there, I heard about Global frontier, Digital media contents, Odyssey future talent, Clasica liberal arts.

Starting with the greeting of the head of ACE+ Business Group, I heard an explanation of those Creative Convergence majors.

In Clasica, offers seminar classes in which the East and West, focusing on basic studies such as literature and philosophy in which can foster students’ higher order thinking abilities.

Freshmen who are in second semester can apply for the new major path and if you have more than 36 credits, you will be awarded a degree. Also, students who are applying for a Creative Convergence major will be given the opportunity to preorder dormitory first.
