After the lengthy break, we have come back to campus to witness the huge construction taking place on the main road of Daegu University. Even though it was known to some students who had visited the university during the vacation, most people were inquiring to know why it was necessary to have such a construction project at the start of term. What is it for and is it necessary? The answer is that it is part of the ‘Cultural Creating Network Project.’

The ‘Cultural Creating Network Project’ is basically to promote an energetic college town. The students often head to nearby universities to hang out. Promoting a joyful college town will enable students to have fun and even attract residents around the college.


The project includes three procedures. At first, constructing a pedestrian-centered infrastructure should precede before taking the next step. A ‘Cultural Square’ will be created from the student union building to the main road. In the middle of the main road, amenities such as food trucks, shelters, and busking sites will be placed. At last, the shuttle bus line will be reorganized to prevent in-school traffic. Furthermore, the college will also consult with the affiliated organizations to operate the city bus on campus.
 

The students might have been struggling with the messy roads of the university, and even complaining about it. However, from a long-term perspective, it could result in a beneficial impact on the Daegu University campus.
