There are various kinds of social network services. For example, the most famous services are FaceBook, Instagram, and Everytime. One of the social network services which university students usually use for getting university information is Everytime.

This service has various functions which university students can use. One of the functions is making out a schedule for signing up for classes. Before signing up for classes, most university students can easily use it to make a timetable.

Another function is the major means of communication between students. For example, if there is a freshman who doesn’t know specific information about campus life and lectures at university, what do you think the freshman should do? There are many answers, but the most accurate way is asking someone who knows the specific piece of information. Everytime does has this function, so many students who wonder about something ask a question on Everytime and they get information about university life.

The third function is helping university students’ international activities by posting posters of international activity opportunities. Students who search the posters can enjoy a meaningful university life.

The last function is offering employment information to students. When people see the functions of Everytime, most people said that this social network service is perfect for students and other people.

However, Everytime has a big drawback between communications. When users don’t want to show their own name on Everytime, they can use the anonymous writing function. Therefore, people don’t know who the writer is.

At Daegu University, there have been some controversial events related to the use of Everytime. Some of them took place in the Chemical Science Education building. The rise in accidents started from some writing posted by an anonymous user on Everytime. Many people were criticized directly for being involved in the event. Anonymous people started to write about that event on Everytime. No one knows the real facts about the event. Unrelated students in the Chemical Science Education department were damaged by baseless acusations. The conclusion of this event ended in smoke.

In conclusion, that event unfairly devalues the image of the Chemical Science Education department. How should we stop this unrelated damage? First, when events are reported on social network services, we must try to learn the facts about the event. Only then can we judge the event. Second, the student body should try to find out facts about an event and prevent baseless rumors from spreading.

We can’t manage all of the issues related to social network services, but if we use sound judgement when reading about events, we can make better decisions.
