From March 4, bus number 818 started running at school due to '미소' Daegu University student council's efforts.
Bus number 818 ran through the west gate-front gate-Daegu Universtiy bus terminal ( 대구대 서문-정문-종점) before March 4. But now there's a new bus route. The bus route into school is now west gate-Braille Library-BIHO dormitory entrance-Changpa Library-Sungsanhall-welfare center (서문입구-점자도서관-비호생활관 입구-창파도서관-성산홀-복지관). The buses route that leave school runs the opposite path.
The bus runs at 5-minute intervals from the west gate to the Daegu University bus terminal (the first bus leaves at 07:47 and the last bus at 22:40), and the buses run at 20-minute intervals from Daegu University bus terminal to the west gate (the first bus leaves at 08:47 and the last bus at 20:40).
Most students reactions to this bus are amicable. Student A said, "I don't have to walk to the west gate or the front gate to take bus from the dormitory." Student B said, "When I go to classes between the college of education and the engineering college, I don't have a long walk anymore. Now I take the bus." However, there are some voices of concern. Student C said, "Because bus number 818 is a large-sized bus, it almost led to a big accident. I think that it is dangerous to run a large-sized buses on campus."
Therefore, students need to beware and look all aroud. They must not jaywalk! Bus drivers should always be careful to drive within the 30-km speed limit on campus. Daegu University should also set up the sufficient traffic lights and provide students with prevention education programs.
Enjoy the safety and convenience of the new bus route, but be careful!
