Woong-Ji Hall consists of various facilities and has been responsible for the welfare of many students. It includes the famous Miez container restaurant, the student cafeteria, Cafe We, the student department store, an eyeglasses shop, a copy room, a student bookstore, and the office of the newspaper editor. In particular, Woong-Ji Hall is a hot place for students majoring in education because it is located in front of the college of education. I am one of those education college students, so the news of remodeling sounded really good.

There have been some inconveniences using Woong-Ji Hall. First, the walls and floors of the bathrooms were unsanitary. Also, I thought it would be better to use the space as a better place for students than to have an unexpected mobile phone shop next to the student bookstore. And the editorial department of the newspaper on the second floor is small, so when all the reporters sit down, the space looks full. So, there was a wish that we could get a little more space for the newspaper. In addition, the walls and floors on the second floor of Woong-Ji Hall are covered with graffiti, which looks bad. It would be great if it could be remodeled cleanly.

Most students responded positively to the remodeling of Woong-Ji Hall. One student said, “Since it is a student cafeteria that we use frequently, I hope the remodeling will take place around the ‘student cafeteria’ and ‘Cafe We’.” Another student said, “The A-corner of the school cafeteria is popular and students are always standing in a long line, which is dangerous because it blocks the flow of people who receive food and makes them more uncomfortable. I hope you can resolve this with this remodeling.”

Likewise, another student mentioned the problem in the student cafeteria. “I hope that they departmentalize A-corner, which is especially popular, so that we won't wait. When there is not much time left before class. Waiting time makes me very nervous. I am also very hungry at lunch time, so it is very hard to stand for a long time. It would be great if we could get a service that would introduce an automation system where we received a ticket with an order number to retrieve our food when it is ready. Many other restaurants operate that way.”

Moreover, there were many other opinions like “There are many students smoking on the fifth floor of the building. Please remodel the rooftop and install a proper smoking booth.”, “Sometimes students cannot use the student cafeteria because of school events that were already booked by an outsider who is not a student. Therefore, in addition to the student cafeteria, I would like to have another restaurant for outsiders or reserved seats for them. I hope that other restaurants or cafes will open and then we will have more choices of where and what to eat.”

I'm looking forward to seeing what our new Woong-Ji Hall will look like. I can't wait for the remodeling to finish and I want to see the new view very soon!
