The infrastructure around Happy Dormitory has changed a lot during the 2023 summer vacation. I’ll explain it in three main categories.

 

First, improving pedestrain convenience. A new crosswalk has been installed in the southeast around Happy Dormitory, allowing people to cross over to the other side in the middle without having to walk to the original bus stop.

 

Second, improving the convenience of public transportation. The last bus stop, which was the original bus stop, has been closed. Instead, the bus stop has been moved to the front of Happy Dormitory, so it is not as far away as the original stop location.

 

Third, improvement of safety and convenience. A rain cover was installed, which is larger than the one at the original stop so that many students could not get rained on. Another point for students who are confused between Hayang and Jinnryang buses, lines have been painted so that students could line up for each route.

Next, I interviewed a student at Daegu University about the changes in infrastructure around Happy Dormitory.

 

Q1. Were there any inconveniences that you experienced due to changes in the infrastructure around Happy Dormitory?

 

A1. Yes, there were. I use the bus at the front gate every day when I go home from school. In the case of bus 840 ( in the direction of Yeongnam University), there are many people waiting in line during school hours, and the space between the bus stop and the Starbucks entrance is very small. I couldn’t even see the bus number written on the floor properly, so I couldn’t get in the line properly and hot on the bus in a hurry more than once.

 

Q2. A large rain shield has been installed at the newly moved bus stop, have there been many changes since the installation?

 

A2. Because of the large rain screen installation it seems that in the case of this summer when it rains frequently, it is not necessary to use an umbrella and the complexity is resolved, so that it can show light as well as perform the rain screen role.

 

Q3. It is known that bidding for a rental store is underway in Happy Dormitory building, is there any particular facility you would like to see there?

 

A3. I hope that various franchise branches that can be used at any time conveniently, as well as Daiso, which is frequently used by dormitory students and students living alone, will be opened.
