About Time: A movie given a big lesson Why was the movie ¡®About Time¡¯ the box office success? There might be many reasons. The main reason is that it¡¯s a romance comedy. Therefore, many girls loved the movie. But this is not the only reason this movie was a box office success. It looks like just a sweet romance movie, but this movie shows us many things. Firstly, this movie gains the sympathy both from women and men. The form of the movie shows us each of their thoughts. For example, in the same situation women and men think differently. So the movie narrates their own thoughts during the movie. Moreover, ¡®About Time¡¯ is a romance movie, but it¡¯s not the typical romance movie. We can think that the movie is just about one couple¡¯s love story, but inside of it shows about people¡¯s lives, especially about our family. This is the second reason the movie achieved success. Nowadays people are too busy to look for their families or friends. We only think about ourselves . Later we regret bitterly after realizing what we did. The most important word in this movie is ¡°family love.¡± Tim is the name of the hero of this movie. His father tells him about the family¡¯s secret ability, the time travel. So Tim used his ability in many situations, including going back to the last moment with father. This is the best scene in this movie. Watching the sad scene touches my heart. Their good father-son relationship is giving a vicarious satisfaction to the audience. Also ¡°About Time¡± has a solid story line. This movie describes very sensitively when he goes back to the past every situation changes; then the future will also change. This kind of careful craftsmanship makes the movie more credible. Tim‘žs father told him to live his life twice. This gives us a big lesson that we should live our life being thankful for everything and think positively. When Tim spends a day, for the first time he felt exhausted and annoyed; but the second time he felt different. He realizes that everything around him is beautiful and tries to appreciate people around him. This movie is full of famous lines. Tim¡¯s father said, ¡°We¡¯re all traveling through time together every day of our lives. All we can do is do our best to relish this remarkable ride.¡± This tells us lots of things and we can get the lessons that ¡®just live your own life given to you.¡¯ Another one is ¡°Live life as if there were no second chances.¡± And ¡°The truth is, I now don¡¯t travel back at all. Not even for the day. I just try to live every day as if I¡¯ve deliberately come back to this one day to enjoy it as if it was the full final day of my extraordinary, ordinary life.¡± Every line in this movie is a masterpiece. I felt like I¡¯ve read a bestseller and learned a lot of things. ¡°About Time¡± gives me a lot of lessons and teaches me what the ¡®life¡¯ is and makes me have second thoughts about family.
