Do you know that Daegu University started a K-MOOC business a year ago? Maybe you have not the least idea of this news because Daegu University K-MOOC has not been well promoted. In 2016 DU K-MOOC opened two classes. One is ‘Explore Together for Disabilities’ related to Special Education. The Other is ‘Theory of Social Welfare Policy’ related to Social Welfare. In 2017 it opened three more classes. One is ‘Understanding about Sign Language’. Another is ‘Adult Learning and Consult’. And the other is ‘History of Social Welfare’. Two of them are also related to Special Education and Social Welfare.

I worked as a DU K-MOOC monitor last semester. My main work was taking one of the DU K-MOOC lectures and evaluating the system. I took ‘Explore Together for Disabilities’. From my experience, it is the most interactive lecture between students and professors and other students I ever took. When I had questions about that lecture, it had a space to write those things freely. I could receive the answers very quickly from my professor or students who took the same class with me. And I could see others' questions and the answers so I got additional knowledge. It also had animated debating space. So I could argue my opinions and share others’. But there was something left to be desired. It was limited in lecture scope. So a lot of people who have various interest can not access and use it. I hope the scope of its available lectures is extended as soon as possible.

If you are anxious about DU K-MOOC or lectures related to special education and social welfare, I recommend you to try taking some classes. If it does not have any interesting lectures for you, please make your voice heard so that additional courses will be offered.
