We can see and hear a lot of things in the world where we live. Something good or bad may happen in this society. But, I want to focus on something bad here. The bad thing that I mentioned is that people relate to the ‘ perception ’ and ‘ behavior ’, which was created in society. Sometimes we live in the invisible discrimination. And as you know, some people are worried about those problems and it makes people suffer constantly. We wear dark glasses in society. This problem has to be solved in the world quickly. So, I’d like to introduce two movies about that. Through these, I hope you can change to nice glasses.

 The first movie is ‘Zootopia(2016)’. In the movie, a rabbit called ‘Judy’ and a fox called ‘Nick’ solved the events together. The main character, Judy, tries hard to become a police officer and makes her dream come true for Zootopia. On the contrary, Nick made an illegal trade deal in Zootopia, but he stopped his illegal behavior after meeting Judy. However, ‘Beast of prey’ is causing everyone to feel confused, and the confrontation between the predators and carnivores continues to get worse in Zootopia. In this atmosphere, Judy and Nick are moving away, but they seek to unite and trust each other so resolve the incident and regain peace.

 The second movie is ‘Remember the Titans(2000)’. In 1971, when high school football was in the red, the education office of Alexandria, Virginia, imposed a policy of integrating schools there. At that time, the racial discrimination between blacks and whites was very intense. Because of that, a huge wave of effects emerged. Also, Herman Boone, who was the coach of the black team, was selected as head coach and Bill Yoast, who was the coach of the white team, was selected for assistant coach. Williams High School was furious. But in this atmosphere, the coaches put the players together and shaped them into a winning team. As a result, it gradually began to change the city and it gave the perceptions for people that different skin color doesn’t matter.

- How to reflect on ‘discrimination’ in the movie.

 In Zootopia, there is a combination of herbivores and carnivores. From the event called ‘Beast of prey’, it begins the separation between the two species. Because of that, Zootopia has become transformed into a separate society. I think that there is similarity between the beast of prey in Zootopia and racism in our society. Different species of animals live in groups of animals, like ours, where various races live. Moreover, it reflected various issues related to discrimination such as social status, nonpersons, etc. For example in social positions, when Judy became a police officer, the reaction of parents and friends was cold. But Judy didn’t give in to them and her dreams came true. The scenes of these films gave us insight into how to look at discrimination.

 The film, based on a true story, shows racial discrimination between blacks and whites in the 1970s. It was not heavy in the aspect of school, and in the early part of the movie, intense discrimination led to a focus on the conflict between the two groups. Through sports, it shows us how to come together as one. Besides, it explains the meaning of ‘ we are friends except skin color. ’

 Discrimination between blacks and whites in American history is one of the most serious problems. After the Civil War, it seemed to be getting better. Likewise, we can conclude that “we are the same person.” We need to improve this perception for the discrimination of skin color, gender, countries etc,. in the world. Nevertheless, it is not easy to solve the problem. It takes a lot of time. Accordingly, we have to start with a small practice and pass it on to many people. From now on, think of something that might hurt someone, and let’s promise not to do it anymore. But it is still one of the problems that must be solved in American society. Furthermore, it is not only about black and white racism, but also the emergence of discrimination against Asians. I suggest you think about the meaning of racism, thinking about the meaning of ‘ Together ‘ through ‘Remember the Titans’.

 Zootopia reflects a dream world. However, the problems still happen in the perfect world. Similarly, discrimination still happens in our life. Also, like in the 1970s, racism still exists now.

 There are lots of obstacles, for example, the invisible wall, race, gender, countries, etc. Therefore, we have to solve problems in the world. Have you ever experienced racial experiences for international students? It is one of the serious problems for students. We need to improve our understanding of this problem, and acknowledge what is wrong for our behavior.

 Let’s see the impressive paragraph.

 In Zootopia, “And the more we try to understand one anotherm the more exceptional each of us will be.”, “Try everything” gives us an idea of what we have to do and how to challenge our own lives. Also, in Remember the Titans, “I don’t expect you’ll like each other, but you’ll respect each other”, lets us know about tolerance.’

 Do you wear dark glasses? If you do, you’d better take them off and look at the whole world. I recommend that you have new nice glasses.
