Card News-Conversation of the dayAre you boring?
¾çÇÏ¿µ | ½ÂÀÎ2019.12.10 12:57

Hello, L.L.F readers, I want to introduce an English expression. What do you say when your friend looks bored? Many Koreans say “Hey, are you boring?” This is so rude to your friends because it means you’re asking if your friend is a boring person. When you want to ask whether your friends are tired of something, you should ask “are you bored?” using –ed, not –ing. To explain specifically, ‘bored’ is used for someone feeling monotonous about doing something oneself, but ‘boring’ is used for someone who is a boring person.

For example, if you are doing something special you can say “I am excited!” In contrast, as bungee jumping made you excited you can say “It is exciting!” Okay, can you use ‘-ed’ and ‘-ing’ correctly? I hope this helps you guys.
