Upon hearing the news of the March 1st Movement in 1919, Choi Yong-deok participated in the Korean Independence Youth League to rally the Korean people in Beijing. He also played a major role in securing and transporting bombs for Kim Sang-ok’s death in 1923. In 1934, he participated in the founding of the Shinhan Independence Party and continued to carry out the independence movement.
Choi Yong-deok was in charge of the operation and practical affairs of the Korean Liberation Army. After Korea’s liberation from Japan’s colonial rule, it took the initiative in establishing the Air Force by training fighter pilots.
