One YouTube channel, Reviews of Things I Buy with My Money, became very popular for its honest reviews that did not depend on advertisements.

A famous YouTuber gave viewers a sense of despondency when it was revealed that such content was paid for by advertisers. To solve this problem, the Fair Trade Commission will monitor whether or not YouTubers and other influencers write the phrase "Including Paid Advertisements" when posting posts.

In addition, the FTC explained major questions in Q&A format, including retrospective application of advertisements before the implementation of the revised guidelines.

Broadcasters also have to disclose back advertising if they edit broadcasts containing indirect advertisements and post them on YouTube channels. Even if they purchased a product voluntarily or received a late payment, they should disclose their relationship to the advertiser.

"The FTC is preparing for voluntary compliance campaigns and agreements with the Korean influencer Industry Association and the Korean MCN Association," an FTC official said. "We plan to continue to educate and promote industries to comply with the Display Advertisement Act and monitor compliance with the law."
