"Strong, loving relationships are what life's all about." This is a sentence from the book, 'The Rules of Love' by Richard Templar. As the tile of this book says, how comfortable would it be if love had rules?

We live having various relationships with love that is complicated. Relationships sometimes fail, or friends let us down, or love can change. Therefore, we often fall into grief or agonize because of love.

"The rules of love" is divided into sections on finding love, relationships, parting, family and friendship. This book guides us to a personal code for happier, more fulfilling relationsips. The writer of this book said he spent many years collecting those rules of love.

In the first section of 'Rules for finding love', the most impressive sentence for me was 'You won't be happy with a partner until you can be happy on your own.' I entirely agree with it because I think couples or friends can be happy together if they can also be happy on their own. If a person meets others because he or she is lonely when being alone, it is highly likely that the relationship will not last long. 

In the section of 'Relationship Rules', the impressive sentences were "Be together because you want to, not because you need to", and "If you can say something nice, do." After reading these two stories, I promised to myself that I will be honest with my own feeling and thoughts and just do something nice.

Finally, I would like to give you another rule of love, 'love youreself so that you can love others and others can love you.' It is because a person who does not love oneself enough may have problems with having sincere relationships with others.
