James Oppenheim was an American poet, novelist, and psychoanalyst. He was the founder and editor of the early 20th-century literary magazine The <Seven Arts>. He depicted labor troubles with suffragist themes in his famous poem <Bread and Roses> and in his novel, <The Nine-Tenths>. That’s why his name has often been mentioned on Women’s Day.
