Daegu University students participated in various indoor and outdoor competitions and won several awards. In this article, I would like to introduce some of the awards, which Daegu University students won.

First, a team of third-year fashion design students won the grand prize at the Capstone Design Competition in school. The Capstone Design Competition is a comprehensive design curriculum that allows students to experience the entire process of planning and designing production based on theories they learned during their undergraduate courses.

The team members set the 2022 SS collection as the theme of Athena, the goddess of war. It also directed and produced video production and pictorial shoots for the brand concept, image map, design map, and marketing promotion.

Kim So-Hyun, a professor of fashion design who coached the students, said, "I expect students to be able to live a more professional and active outside life by starting a business after graduation or getting a job as a fashion designer based on this experience."

Second, in August, the "Hajis" team, consisting of Earth Science Education students, won the grand prize at the "2nd Gyeongbuk College Student Community Resolution Competition”. It is a competition held by professors and students in Gyeongsangbuk-do to come up with ideas, develop and revitalize regional win-win cooperation programs with local governments.

The Hajis team's proposal under the theme of "Exploration of Urban Regeneration Commercialization Plan Using Stromatolite in the Hayang-Eunhori Region" received excellent reviews from judges. The subject was considered to have high expectations for commercialization, including Geopark development activities by activating photo-tube areas using rock stromatolites existing in Gyeongsan and bringing interest in new ways to utilize geological attractions.

Third, Sports Leisure students won the second prize at the “2021 Presidential National Softball Competition” held at the Hoengseong Baseball Theme Park in Gangwon Province from August 14 to 18. More than 350 athletes participated in the competition.

Our university team was in a difficult situation to train due to the Corona crisis and rain, but the players led the team to second place with strong determination and concentration. The softball team of our university's sports and leisure department is building excellent skills through hard training, and raising expectations for future competitions.

I look forward to the amazing vision of Daegu University students in the future. There are various competitions inside and outside, so please make good use of your major or field of interest by participating in various competitions.
