It is said that on October 12, 2021, the Department of Social Welfare at our university signed a business agreement with a child protection agency in western Gyeongbuk for mutual development. A specialized child protection institution in western Gyeongsangbuk-do is an institution that supports children and families suffering from abuse. In addition, various projects are being carried out to prevent child abuse. 

In this cooperation, the two organizations aim to exchange various information for child protection, as well as joint cooperation, human and material exchange, and support efforts. Accordingly, they plan to promote various activities. This is likely to be very helpful these days when the number of abused families is increasing due to COVID-19. 

In the future, it is expected that overall support for various activities and employment in children's social welfare institutions for students enrolled in the Department of Social Welfare will be possible. In addition, promoting various programs and events will help develop social awareness of child protection. If social awareness of child abuse develops, we will be able to create a better society.

Kim Moon-geun, head of the Department of Social Welfare, said, "Through this opportunity, we will promote volunteer work and practical employment support activities to foster future children's human rights and child welfare professionals". In addition, he said, "We plan to actively cooperate in various activities to defend the human rights and welfare of children". Through this endeavor, I hope that more children receive social protection.
