From October 20th to 26th, Daegu University Career Employment Office held a visiting youth employment policy promotion event, "Youth Employment Policy A to Z." The event took place during the midterm exam period. It was conducted to raise students' awareness of youth employment policies and improve access to employment.

They provided various gifts to students participating in surveys and quizzes at designated places by colleges. The event included government youth employment policy consultation and promotion, a government youth employment policy scholarship quiz, a vitamin charge and get an A+ event, and a university job center SNS follow evet.

Since the goal was to increase students' awareness of youth employment policy, I asked a student at the humanities college if his awareness of youth employment policy increased.

Q1. I wonder about your grade and whether your awareness of youth employment policy increased. 

A1. I am a sophomore at the College of Humanities and I have worried about my preparation for employment. But, I don't know much about youth employment policy, and I didn't even think about finding out about it.

Q2. Did the "Youth Employment Policy Promotion Event" held at the Career Employment Center help you learn more about the youth employment policy?

A2. Yes. At first, I was embarrassed because I was going to the test site, but somebody caught me joining an event. But through the pamphlet, I could learn various information about youth employment and employment support. Previously, job preparations were vague, and the university job center felt far away. But through this event, I feel closer to preparing for employment.

As such, the responses of the students who participated in the event were favorable. Now, let's look at which programs exist. There are nine programs, and I would like to introduce the three programs that will touch college students the most.

Second, there is a 'work-earning parallel system.' It is a system in which companies pre-hire young people, conduct field training, and cultivate skilled human resources through complementary theoretical education at schools and joint training centers. You can apply at the online vocational training portal.

Finally, there is an overseas employment academy. You can receive free support for competency education programs necessary for overseas employment, such as writing English documents, helping with interviews, and providing business conversation education. You can apply at World Job Plus.
