Actor Kang Soo-yeon, who has represented the Korean film industry, died on May 7, 2022. Kang collapsed at her home in Apgujeong-dong, Seoul on the 5th due to cerebral hemorrhage. Since then, she had been treated while unconscious at Yonsei University's Gangnam Severance Hospital but eventually died. 

Kang is a world star who has represented the Korean film industry, winning the Best Actress Award at Venice Film Festival, one of the world's top three film festivals, for her 1987 film "Seeds." After living a fiery life with the movies, she left an asset that will be remembered in Korean cultural history. 

Kang Soo-yeon's life, in which she first appeared in public at the age of four and left a mark on popular culture throughout her life, is a part of Korean film history beyond celebrities, stars and actors. 

She is a major actress in the Korean film industry, which has grown rapidly since the 1900s, and she has the title of 'World Star' representing Korea. She once again attracted the attention of the world's film industries with "Aje Aje Baraje" with director Lim Kwon-taek.
