The Daegu Colorful Festival, one of the most representative cultural festivals in the region, will return as a face-to-face event after a three years absence.

The Daegu Cultural Foundation announced on July 25 that it will hold the 2022 Daegu Colorful Festival, which transforms the National Debt Compensation Road (Jungang Intersection - Jonggak Intersection) into a huge concert hall for two days on July 9th and 10th.

Billed as Asia's largest street parade, the Daegu Colorful Festival was canceled entirely in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and last year it was held in a non-face-to-face and online format under the theme of “Remind Colorful”.

This year's event will be held face-to-face under the theme of "Return of the Festival – Colorful Is Back" so that citizens can sympathize with daily recovery. In particular, it will be promoted as a "WET Festival" where you can get wet with sweat and water with the intention of not giving in to hot weather and rainy weather.

The particulars that make the area of the government bond compensation road into a huge street performance hall were also well organized. The Daegu Colorful Festival's White Beauty Parade will expand the participation of citizens by establishing a new non-experienced section as well as the existing competition.

They plan to allow all citizens to participate in the festival in various ways, including small parades, without performing on a large scale. The street art festival will be even more spectacular.

Along with a water performance that cools the heated city, 50 various city art programs have been prepared by city performance teams from all over the country.

Meanwhile, the Daegu Cultural Foundation will accept applications for each program through the official website of the Daegu Colorful Festival from the 2nd of next month.
