Compared to other universities, Daegu University significantly lacks amenities because of its geographical location. While there are some vacant places below Haengbok Dormitory or in front of the main gate for businesses to come in, there seems to be no progress in starting up the lifestyle our students want.

Through a survey, we found that 94.2% of student responders think there are not enough basic amenities inside and outside campus grounds.

When asked about the kind of business they needed the most, almost eighty percent of students picked the pharmacy as their most needed amenity. Daiso, the Korean version of a "one-dollar store," came in second with 67.4%.

Although there are many restaurants on and off campus, 52.3% of our student respondents said they wanted more. And half of them selected drugstores (Korean health and beauty chains) such as Oliveyoung, Lalavla, and Lohbs as the most needed business near our school.

We figured pharmacies are the most wanted business to open up because students would have to take the bus and go out to Hayang to buy even the simplest medicine or healthcare products when they suddenly get sick.

The university should pay attention to what students require to take a step toward the school's development.
