Life-saving CPR
°Àº¼ö | ½ÂÀÎ2022.12.13 23:10

Due to the recent Itaewon disaster in Korea, the importance of CPR is being emphasized more than before. CPR is short for cardiopulmonary resuscitation and is a first aid that is performed when someone is not breathing due to the heart and lungs stopping.

Let's find out the exact method of implementing CPR. First, approach the patient and tap him on the shoulder to see if he is conscious. If there is no reaction, there is a high possibility of cardiac arrest, so CPR is required. You should immediately loudly ask the people around you to call 119.

The patient is then placed on a flat floor and the heel of the palm is placed with the hands folded in the lower half of the breastbone. Be careful not to let your fingers touch the patient's chest. Chest compression should be done regularly at an adult rate of 100 to 120 times per minute.

Perform artificial respiration twice after chest compression. It is good to do artificial respiration, but if you are not good at is or are reluctant to do it, you should only do chest compressions.

Afterwards, chest compression and artificial respiration should be repeated until paramedics arrive at the scene. I hope that more people will be able to save lives by properly coping with emergency situations using CPR.
