After the College Scholastic Abiliy Test on November 17, 2022, test takers are now at the end of the entrance exam. Daegu University will have two new departments and new students will enter from next year. Let me introduce these new departments.

This time, 40 beauty styling majors in the Department of fashion at the College of Formative Arts and 20 special creative convergence departments in the College of Rehabilitation Science were newly selected.

The beauty styling major trains creative fashion and beauty professionals. The Department of Special Creative Convergence provides career education specialized in the future convergence industry for high school graduates with intellectual disorder or autism under the relevant laws.

I’ve heard of beauty styling, so I think you know what kind of study it is. However, you may feel unfamiliar with the Department of Special Creative Convergence.

After graduating from high school, students with developmental disabilities need education that acts as a stepping stone before entering society.

There are ways to get education from an educational institution for people with developmental disabilities or a university education in this course, however, there are not many departments for them to choose from. The first higher education institution for the developmentally disabled is the Department of Bridge at Nazareth University.

Daegu University’s Department of Special Creative Convergence is also expected to be a good example of serving as a leader in higher education institutions for people with developmental disabilities.
