TV streaming services, well-known as "OTT services" in Korea, are taking over the world. They provide various media including television shows, movies, broadcasting, and education programs through the Internet.

The term "OTT," or "Over-the-top," implies that you are gaining access via a set-top box for televisions. Initially, it started by providing premium media through a video-on-demand process. Since then, OTT has branched out along with the development of internet technology.

The most well-known OTT service is undoubtedly Netflix. It's hard to imagine our lives without it, although Netflix has only been available in South Korea for less than ten years.

English-speaking countries' services—HBO Max, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and Disney—are releasing their own specials and gaining more premium members.

Meanwhile, South Korean services such as Watcha, Tving, and Wavve are developing their very own methods to catch up with Netflix, win people's hearts, and become the most prominent OTT service in the country.

With so many new streaming services on the market, the television and film industry is going through one of its most transitional periods, and it will be crucial for Korean OTTS to show their strength in the global field.
