New Academic Place: Changpa Library¡¯s Study Hall
±èÀ¯Áø, ÀÌ¹Î¾Æ | ½ÂÀÎ2023.05.11 23:56

It has been several months since the university announced the relocation of Changpa Library's study hall in February. While the library and the study hall used to be two separate buildings, it has been decided that the study hall facility will move into the fifth floor of the main library.

The reason behind the relocation is the plan to develop an Innovation Academy in the study hall's former location. The university hopes to provide new opportunities for students by offering new programs that will foster talent in the field of software.

For those who are looking for a place to study, there will still be 700 seats available on the fifth floor of Changpa Library, and the student council and campus operations team are working to open a lounge and classrooms in each college building.

As the university relocated the study hall, many students seem to have complaints and be confused about where to study. Thus, I interviewed a student to ask him about how he liked it and what he wants to request from the dean of Changpa library.

Q1. Where do you usually study on campus? Did you often use the Changpa study hall?
A1. I used to study at the Changpa study hall most often because it was the quietest and easiest place to concentrate among the study places on campus.

Q2. Did you know that the study hall was moved to the 5th floor of the library?
A2. Yeah. I saw the announcement attached to the door of the library. At first. They announced that they had removed the Changpa study hall without any specific notification on what would replace it, which left me speechless. However. Now I feel alright because they have relocated the study hall.

Q3. Have you been to the 5th floor? How do you like it?
A3. Yes, I have. It's a little harder to access than it used to be, but it's still in good repair. I rather like the new one because there’s no front door right in front of the seats, which makes it much warmer and quieter inside the hall.

While some students may still have complaints, the dean of the Changpa library is putting a lot of effort into keeping students comfortable. How about checking out the new study hall today?
