We can easily find people who usually study at cafes. But recently, there has been a lot of controversy about the excessive behavior of people studying at cafes.

The general complaint of cafe owners is that people sit for hours with a single drink ordered. A typical example is to leave their bag and come back after doing business outside for a long time. In severe cases, they order a cup of coffee at a 24-hour cafe and stay for about 19 hours.

Recently, as raw material prices, rent, labor costs, and electricity prices have risen, cafe owners have grown frustrated with these actions.

Cafe owners’ solutions to these people’s behavior are also becoming a hot topic. Cafe owners have put a limit on the time customers can sit, after which they shut off the power oulet. Furthermore, measures such as turning on music that interferes with studying or installing low tables to make uncomfortable to study were prepared. In severe cases, some cafes have banned the use of laptops.

In response, many online communities have rebuked cafe owners with comments such as, “It’s too much, cafe owners give a hint to order drinks or desserts.”

However, others responded, “It must be a serious problem for the cafe owners to come up with such a plain.”

I think it is necessary to criticize the wrongdoings of customers who do this in cafes, but also criticize the customer measures taken by cafe owners, I think cafe owners need to solve this situation with solutions that are more flexible because not everyone who patronizes a cafe bahaves in such a disgraceful manner.
