Cats and dogs are the most common pets. Unlike dogs, cats have strong independence so many of them live in the wild. A cat that lives on the street instead of being a pet at home is called a street cat.

Cats that usually live in the city center cause problems. Most of the problems with street cats are the conflicts between people who feed them, so-called "cat moms" and "cat daddies," and people who are negatively affected by street cats.

Cats are mainly active at night because they are nocturnal animals. Residents who are negatively affected by street cats, such as when they search and damage trash cans due to the crying and hunger at night, file complaints. For them, cats are harmful animals that interfere with their lives.

Cat moms who feed street cats are recognized as the main culprit aggravating this situation, and conflicts between people who do not support cat moms are intensifying. Cats hunt other animals easily because of their excellent hunting ability. Cats sometimes kill their prey as a joke.

In Australia, wild cats are said to have contributed to the endangered species stauts of more than 20 mammals. The Australian government planned to kill 2 million of the estimated 6 million wild cats by 2020, however, some experts argue that killing them is not the only solution.

You can feel sorry for street cats, however, there are also people who are negatively affected by them. If you value their lives, it would be best to take and raise street cats, but you can't take and raise all of them.

It's not just the life of a cat that matters. Other animals' lives are also important. If cat moms feed street cats, they should also take care of them afterwards.
