Previously, somebody could become a public school teacher if they passed the appointment examination after graduating from the College of Education and for four years, but the plan is to change it to a Graduate School of Education system.

The educational community is against the Graduate School of Education. In particular, students who are currently attending education universities are more opposed. We summarized the facts that were revealed about the meaning of the educate of Graduate School of Education and the admission and appointment of the Graduate School of Education.

Graduate School of Education is because it is difficult to train professional teachers within four years because the current shift system has few practical credits. Therefore, the government intends to introduce a five-year or six-year Graduate School of Education to foster professional teachers.

According to what is currently being discussed, the curriculum of the University of Education will be reorganized to create a total of five to six years of curriculum, and graduates are given professional master's degrees and full-time teacher certificates.

The most controversial part is related to the appointment of Graduate School of Education. It is said that graduates of the Graduate School of Education are discussing ways to be exempted from the appointment examination.

According to a report by the Ministry of Education, it plans to award first-degree full-time teacher certificates and professional master's (or professional doctorate) degrees to Graduate School of Education. In response, many point out that incumbent teachers or shift students can only become teachers when they pass the appointment examination, which is against equity.

Under the current teacher system, a second-level full-time teacher certificate is given after graduating from a shift or university of education. After that, if you pass the appointment examination and accumulate experience during your career, you can obtain a first-level full-time teacher certificate through training.

It can be seen as a great benefit because all of these courses are omitted and a first-class full-time teacher certificate is immediately given to graduates of the Graduate School of Education.

The introduction of Graduate School of Education has been suspended due to severe opposition from students at universities of education and the decline in teachers' expertise.
