It is the first time in about a year and three months that local apartment sales prices have risen since the first week of May last year. The rise in local apartment prices was led by metropolitan cities. Daejeon, Daegu, and Ulsan recorded a 0.06% increase.
It is interpreted that upward transactions were made mainly in mid to low priced complexes in areas and provinces with favorable residential conditions such as Dalseong-gun, Daegu, and Yuseong-gu, Daejeon. Prices rose by more than 200 million won in a month compared to 1.18 billion won the previous month.
The nationwide apartment sales price fluctuated 0.07%. Apartment sales prices across the country have been rising for the past six consecutive weeks. National lease prices have also risen for five consecutive weeks with a 0.07% increase.
Apartment sales and local lease prices in Seoul recorded fluctuations of 0.14% and 0.15%, respectively, continuing their upward trend for the 14th consecutive week.
Instead of raising raw material prices, the government and companies should look for other ways to reduce costs together and actively monitor illegal price increases.
